The best way to connect with others in a meaningful way through the body of Christ is in a small group setting. We have a variety of classes that meet every Sunday morning at 9:30 to:
• Encourage and care for one another
• Support one another in their personal walk with the Lord
• Challenge one another in their spiritual growth

Adult Classes

Becky Nichols Sunday School Class
Teacher
: Becky Nichols
Location: Hohenberg Library
Description: We will continue with our study of the Old Testament and begin reading Joshua this fall. Our class is very diversified with couples and singles and young and middle and old. There are lots of lively discussions affording many viewpoints. All are welcome!
Men's Class
Teacher: Vaughan Russell acts as "moderator" of the class and everyone is considered to be a teacher as well as a student. Tom Glover, Ed McCurdy, Perry Woodruff, and Mel Gilmer, Jr. moderate the class when Vaughan must be absent
Location: Room 213 on the East side of the 2nd floor hall of the Education Building that has two doors for no apparent reason
Description: We are “the Men’s Class” formerly known as the “Young Men’s Class”. It began as a “point of entry class” for men to share ideas, concerns, and grow spiritually through the study of God’s Word. We use the "FaithWeaver" curriculum which follows the lectionary topics in loose form as a "place to start" but it is fully understood by all that if any member is carrying a burden of any kind or has a burning question, we will rally round and explore the matter in a loving and confidential setting. We feel that we are a great place for men from 20 to 95 to begin or revive and extend their Sunday School experience.
Big Charlie Morris Class
Teachers: Charlie Sims, Donnie Russell, Cecil Fuller, Bruce Henderson & Scott Hereford
Location: Room 214, which is on the 2nd Floor of the Education Building at the end of the hall, closest to Dallas Avenue.
Description: Our class is composed of middle age and older adults. We use a bible study course named “The Present Word.”  The study for the fall will be on Matthew.
Upper Room Class
Teacher: Boo McMilion, Susan Hunter, Kim McCurdy
Location: In the little room above the narthex on the Broad St. side of the sanctuary
Description: Our class consists of a wide mixture of people. We are a group that is seeking a close personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our book is The Bible. The teaching format is lecture and discussion. We focus on how we can become more like Jesus in everyway, and how we can enjoy the abundant life that Jesus came to give. We are all growing spiritually and want more!!!
Seekers Class
Teachers: We rotate teaching duties
Location: Room 202, which is on the 2nd Floor of the Education Building
at the top of the stairs nearest the parking lot.
Description: Our group is mostly composed of couples in the 30-40 age range, but we do have a few singles (as well as a few older ones).  We study the Word, and try to make it applicable to our situations today.  The class has group and individual prayer followed by a short teaching.  The main method of teaching is by discussion leading to self discovery of what lies beneath the text.
Westminster Class
